After walking on the glacier, we then had an 8 hour drive to Picton to get the ferry at 4am the next morning.
New Zealand - To Picton - Behind:
New Zealand - Fox Glacier - Surface Run Off:
This is where the surface water runs down into the river forming beneath the glacier and out of it’s mouth.
New Zealand - Fox Glacier - The Ice Face:
Every day climbers get out on the ice and carve steps up for the tours. Here you can see the scale or it, and the layers of white and blue ice.
New Zealand - Queenstown - Food Poisoning:
All of the awesome things planned, celebrating engagements, and I get food poisoning, not happy.
New Zealand - To Queenstown - Gold river:
On the road to get to Manapouri via Queenstown, this river was aparently part of the goldrush that built Queenstown originally.
New Zealand - Geraldine - Sarah:
The whole “excuse” for the holiday to New Zealand was friends getting married.
